Welcome to my world of education and Global Connections
I graduated from Capella University in 2014 with a Ph.D. in Leadership in Educational Administration, I also hold a Masters degree in science education (Biology) from Rutgers University; and a Bachelor's degree in biology from Saint Peters University, and Clinical Science from UMDNJ. I worked with Sanofi-aventis in pre-clinical research. I student taught at Colts-neck High School , and began my teaching career at Hopewell Valley Central High School. I teach Biology and Bioethics, and also advise model WHO and Global Connections Club, which focuses on programs that take students beyond the classroom.
Biology is the science of life, a very interesting subject that helps us learn more about what life needs to exist, what makes life possible, how life evolves , and how life forms interact with one another. Bioethics on the other hand helps us to make decisions about what is right or wrong.
My education and teaching philosophy is that students learn best when they are provided a conducive and engaging atmosphere where they explore knowledge experimentally through thinking skills that a teacher helps to facilitate. Great teachers inspire students to go beyond the classroom and make connections in the world. This is what drives me to commit time and energy to take students on travel abroad programs as part of the global connections program on building bridges of understanding among people of the world. Extra-ordinary teachers teach ordinary lessons in an extra-ordinary way and impact students for a life time.
On a more personal note, I am a proud parent of four children who remind me every day that there is great hope and a future that is yet to be discovered. I am currently residing in Hamilton, New Jersey. I love to read, current affairs, travel and meeting people of diverse backgrounds because that is what makes life unique and interesting.
