About Global Connections Club

Our Activities
We strive to raise awareness within our school and beyond on the need to make the world nicer by engaging our school community in activities  that promote educational diplomacy and global leadership. Click here to learn more about our activities. 

Who can Join
Any student from 9th-12th grade in good academic standing is welcome to join Global Connections Club. All GCC members are welcome to participate in the Global Connections Club global initiatives in addition to following all school rules. Global Connections Club is a service learning club that promotes educational diplomacy. Students learn how to make the world a nicer place. GCC members have an opportunity to participate in the Global Connections Kenya Experience summer program. Click here to learn more.
GCC meets during lunch every  A-Day in Room 301.  Contact Dr. Angwenyi for more information about GCC or if interested in the Kenya trip program.

Meetings
Global Connections Club meets weekly during lunch on A-Days unless the Club president or Adviser calls for a special meeting. Students working on sub-committees may meet as needed to resolve their committee matters. Students who miss 3 or more meetings without a valid reason may lose their GCC membership. During meetings students work on various tasks or get an opportunity to participate in a symposium on a topic of global interest. The GCC meetings are meant to be interactive and allow students to develop their student leadership skills. Join us at our next meeting and enjoy the warmth of a global community within a high school campus.

Our Leaders
The club is run by a team of leaders headed by the president who work directly with the club adviser to coordinate all club programs and projects. Ideas for implementation stem all members. Click here to meet the club officers and the adviser.

During GCC Meetings students work with one another on a variety of topics that allow them to understand global issues. Students are encouraged to initiate projects that can make their local communities models of success.
